TO further strengthen the city\u2019s emergency preparedness and response, the Tagbilaran City Primary Care Facility (TCPCF), in partnership with the Department of Health\u2013Central Visayas Center for Health Development, successfully conducted two batches of Basic Life Support Training for its Health Emergency Response Team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The training of the first batch was held on September 15\u201316, 2025, followed by the second batch on September 18\u201319, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A total of 59 TCPCF employees completed the sessions, gaining critical life-saving skills needed to respond to medical emergencies and disaster situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The intensive training program focused on equipping frontline health workers with practical knowledge and hands-on techniques in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation, proper airway management, and immediate first-aid response during life-threatening situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
City Health Officer Dr. Jeia Pondoc emphasized that the training is a vital investment in building a resilient and responsive healthcare system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBy empowering our health workers with essential life-saving skills, we ensure that Tagbilaran City is prepared to protect and care for its people during emergencies\u201d, Dr. Pondoc said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
