ART YAP<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>DEFEATED governor Arthur Yap\u2019s camp has suffered major upset particularly in the third district with 19 towns his once stronghold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yap won only six towns &#8212;- Balilihan, Batuan, Jagna, Loay, Sikatuna, and Loboc &#8212; with very slim margins against Aris Aumentado\u2019s 41 towns and Tagbilaran City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yap got 6,302 votes compared to Aris\u2019 5,178 in Balilihan; Batuan: Yap\u20144,248; Aris \u2013 3,888; Jagna: Yap \u2013 10,668 and Aris \u2013 9,246; Loay: Yap \u2013 5,184 and Aris &#8212;5,037; Sikatuna: Yap &#8212; 2,087 and Aris &#8212; 2,047; and Loboc; Yap &#8212; 5,774 and Aris &#8212;5,730.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some of the results for Yap are as twice as that of Aris, but the biggest margin given to the latter is in Ubay, his hometown, where he got an enormous 32,603 votes against Yap\u2019s 8,072.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Tagbilaran City, Aris got 38,431 versus Yap\u2019s 17,862. Alicia town: Aris &#8212; 9,515 vs. Yap &#8212;33,814; Bien-Unido: Aris &#8212;10,031 vs. Yap &#8212;4,568; Dauis: Aris &#8212;18,799 vs. Yap &#8212;6,360; Dagohoy: Aris &#8212;7,450 vs. Yap &#8212;3,508; Maribojoc: Aris &#8212;8,989 vs. Yap &#8212;3,220; Pilar: Aris &#8212;11,127 vs. Yap &#8212;3,781; Talibon: Aris &#8212;23,725 vs. Yap &#8212;10,704; Candijay: Aris &#8212;11,713 vs. Yap &#8212;5,664; and Trinidad: Aris &#8212;10,962 vs. Yap &#8212;8,434.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The third district now could be considered as the bailiwick of reelected Congresswoman Kristine Alexie B. Tutor with 18 of 19 town mayors are her allies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All elected mayors in 18 municipalities are aligned with Tutor under Team Abante Bohol of Gov-elect Aris Aumentado, except for Carmen town whose mayor-elect Conchita \u201cCheche\u201d Toribio delos Reyes, succeeding his brother Ric Toribio who ends his term on June 30, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tutor\u2019s new mayors include neophyte mayor-elect Dionisio Neil Balite who ended the Lim\u2019s 3 decades of power in Valencia town; mayor-elect Al Taculad of Duero; Mayor-elect Onjie Bernales Lim of Mabini town; Garcia-Hernandez\u2019 Jess Baja; Sierra-Bullones\u2019 Mayor-elect Atty. Michael Doria; lady mayor-elect Thamar Olaivar of Candijay; and Loboc\u2019s Mayor-elect Raymund Jala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Comebacking are Mayor Ben Balo of Guindulman; Anda Mayor-elect Angelina \u201cInday\u201d Simacio; Alicia\u2019s Mayor Marnilou Ayuban; Pilar\u2019s Mayor Wilson Pajo; and Bilar\u2019s Mayor Norman Palacio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reelected mayors are Juliet Dano of Sevilla, Batuan\u2019s Mayor Atty. Antonino Jumawid; Loay\u2019s Mayor Atty. Hilario \u201cLahar\u201d Ayuban; Lila\u2019s Mayor Atty. Jed Piollo; Jagna\u2019s Joseph Ranola; and Dimiao\u2019s Randolph Ang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In second district, Yap\u2019s mayoralty bets in the towns of Sagbayan, Clarin, Buenavista, Getafe, Ubay, Pres. Carlos P. Garcia, did not make it against Aris\u2019 candidates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His (Yap) reelected mayors are Talibon\u2019s Mayor Janette Garcia, and Bien-Unido\u2019s Mayor Rene Borenaga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The town where there is a new mayor is San Miguel\u2019s Ian Mendez while comebacking mayors are Inabanga\u2019s Jono Jumamoy and Dagohoy\u2019s Dr. Hermie Relampagos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unopposed Danao town Mayor Jose Cepedoza is said to be aligned with Yap, report said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although Yap did not win in most of the first district towns but his bets for mayor did, including newbies Manju Lim of Corella; Tagbilaran City Jane Cajes Yap; and Panglao\u2019s Mayor-elect Boy Arcay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also on his side are reelected Alburquerque\u2019s Mayor Buates; Balilihan\u2019s Pureza Chatto; Catigbian\u2019s Elizabeth Mandin; Tubigon\u2019s William Jao; Loon\u2019s Elvi Relampagos; Cortes\u2019 Mayor Lynn Iven Lim; Sikatuna\u2019s unopposed Mayor Ellorimo; and comebacking Antequera mayor Pahang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other hand, Aris allied mayors in first district are: Maribojoc\u2019s Manuta; come-backing Atty. Julius Caesar Herrera of Calape; Baclayon\u2019s Mayor Atty. Alvin Uy and neophyte mayor-elect Emoi Bullen of Dauis town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In totality, Aris now has 30 towns, the rest, including Tagbilaran City now headed by Mayor-elect Jane Cajes Yap, are, for the meantime, aligned with Yap.
