ACADEMIC Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) national learning intervention program established under Republic Act No.\u202f12028, signed into law in October 2024. ARAL Program was introduced by Senator Win Gatchalian, the law aims to address the learning crisis exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic Senate of the Philippines. <\/a>It targets students from Kindergarten to Grade 10 in the public schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DepEd SDO Bohol conducted a division-wide orientation for the pilot implementation of the ARAL Program and Aral School Readiness and Responsiveness Audit (ASRRA) Cum Utilization of Lesson Exemplars last August 6-7, 2025 at the Reyna\u2019s Haven, Tagbilaran City. The two-day activity was facilitated by CID Chief Carmela M. Restificar PhD, EPSvr-Mathematics Felix C. Galacio PhD, EPSvr-Kinder Evelyn C. Codilla PhD, and EPSvr-English Pablito C. Villalon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each district was required to send three participants (PSDS, Elementary School Head, and Secondary School Head. Day 1 started with preliminary activities (hymns-multimedia, prayer- multimedia, and DepEd Policy Statement-multimedia). EPsvr in Values Education Ma. Maya V. Tumalon PhD, MDM was assigned to recognized the participants. A welcome message and rationale was given by CID Chief Carmela M. Restificar PhD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SDS Fay C. Luarez EdD, PhD TM, CESO VI gave an inspirational message. She gave emphasis for DepEd personnel to learn so not tb be obsolete and to accept new challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were three major topics discussed: ARAL (Academic Recovery Accessible Learning) Program, ASRRA (ARAL School Readiness and Responsiveness Audit, and  Cum Utilization of the Lesson Exemplars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EPSvr Galacio presented a sample Class Program. He emphasized that districts are requested to submit a sample Class Program (one elem and one secondary), as an output of a workshop. ARAL Program should be reflected in a favorable time (morning sessions, not in the afternoon). ARAL Program should be considered as one teaching load.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an add-on program where learners attend intervention or tutorial sessions before or after school hours, during weekends or any time available within the school calendar. The recommended teacher-learner ratio for group tutorials is 1:5 for kindergarten to Grade 10. If schools do not have sufficient teachers and resources to conduct the tutorial sessions, they may conduct a small-group instruction. Schools and CLCs shall use available learner-centered, skills-based, and inclusively resources like decodables, levelled readers, storybooks, and activity sheets that are age-appropriate, relevant, and culturally sensitive. Collaboration with partners is encouraged to ensure access to grade-level, contextualized, and engaging reading, math, and science materials in languages learners understand.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
