Glenn D. Damasing issued a memorandum to all department heads, barangay officials, school heads, Philippine National Police and Bureau of Fire Protection departments to enforce the memorandum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Memorandum dated May 30, 2025 cited section 16 of the Local Government Code or Republic Act 7160 that provides for the protection of public health as protocols.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The officials concerned, particularly the barangay chairmen are instructed to carry out the directive and make the wearing of face masks in all public places compulsory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Those required to wear face mask include personnel, clients, visitors, students within government offices, barangay halls schools and public facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The officials are also directed to display and disseminate information materials on MPOX and to coordinate with the municipal health office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To submit report and monitor the arrivals or returned of the residents to the barangays and report any suspected having symptoms of the said disease apparently to prevent the spread of MPOX virus are also being mandated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gov. Aris Aumentado created the Bohol MPOX Task Force by way of executive Order No. 28, series of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>World Health Organization (WHO) defines \u201cMpox, previously known as monkeypox, is a viral illness caused by the monkeypox virus, a species of the genus Orthopoxvirus.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bohol has no MPOX case, yet. But Provincial Health Office said that prevention is still the best measure, warning that MPOX virus may enter the province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Toribia Badilla Evasco Memorial Health Center in Maribojoc town also mandates everyone that starting June 2, the No Mask, No entry policy will strictly be implemented upon entering the premises of said medical center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe strongly advise everyone to bring and wear their own face mask when visiting the health facility. Let us work together to ensure the safety and well-being of our community,\u201d the health advisory said.
