Spearheaded by Mayor Jane Yap, this initiative brings together barangay officials, SK members, and volunteers to restore public spaces and promote environmental responsibility citywide.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

TAGBILARAN CITY \u2014 Following the 2025 national and local elections, the City Government of Tagbilaran is launching a massive post-election cleanup drive on May 15 and 16 mobilizing government offices and community leaders to restore cleanliness in public spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The citywide initiative will involve barangay officials, department heads, Sangguniang Kabataan Federation members, and city government employees. The effort is part of the city\u2019s commitment to maintain order and environmental responsibility after the political season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The campaign will focus on the removal of campaign posters and tarpaulins, proper waste collection and disposal, community cleanup drives, and the enforcement of local sanitation regulations. A strong emphasis is being placed on sustainability, with collected tarpaulins to be repurposed through the city\u2019s \u201cTrash to Bags\u201d program under the City Livelihood and Community Development Unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

City officials are encouraging not only government personnel but also civic groups and private volunteers to join the cleanup. The goal, they said, is to instill a culture of shared responsibility in keeping Tagbilaran clean and orderly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mayor Jane C. Yap emphasized the importance of unity in the initiative, stating that the drive is an opportunity for residents to show pride in their city. \u201cThis effort is more than just tidying up\u2014it reflects our collective desire for a greener, more livable Tagbilaran,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
