Congratulations to the city officials, CDRRMO staff, and the entire community on this groundbreaking achievement.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>IN A historic ceremony at the Tagbilaran City Hall Grounds, the city officially launched its City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) Command Center and e-911 emergency response system, becoming the first city in Bohol to implement these cutting-edge disaster management tools on April 25, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event, marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony and live demonstrations, drew local and national figures, including Mayor Jane Yap, Vice Mayor Adam Jala, Dr. Anthony Damalerio, and Angelica Joy T. Caranto, Executive Assistant to the Director at DILG. City councilors, barangay captains, department heads, civil society organizations, and national government officials also attended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The e-911 system, a modern digital emergency service, enables residents to quickly connect with emergency responders, track real-time information, and receive faster assistance. During the ceremony, Ms. Caranto presented the E-911 Certification to Tagbilaran City, acknowledging its pioneering achievement in Bohol and Region VII.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;This marks a new chapter for us,&#8221; Mayor Jane Yap said. &#8220;With e-911, we&#8217;re empowering both residents and responders. It&#8217;s a game-changer in disaster management.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A live walkthrough demonstrated how the system works, connecting citizens with emergency responders in real-time for quicker, more coordinated responses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CDRRMO Command Center, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, will serve as the city&#8217;s disaster response hub. It will provide real-time information for informed decision-making during critical moments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event also recognized the CDRRMO staff&#8217;s hard work and dedication, who completed rigorous training to handle 911 calls and disaster response operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ceremonial ribbon-cutting, led by Mayor Yap, Ms. Caranto, and CDRRMO Head Gerard Lavadia, officially opened the Command Center, which is now fully operational.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This initiative reflects the city&#8217;s vision of progress in infrastructure, technology, and resident security.
