THE gravity of illegal drug problem in Bohol is getting serious, based on the 29th round of public presentation of Bohol Polls 2025 on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opinion survey conducted on March 6-29 showed that 16% of the 400 respondent-voters said it’s \u201cvery serious\u201d just like last year\u2019s figure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201cvery serious\u201d of the illegal drugs in Bohol posted 6% in the year 2022 and 4% in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s survey said the said problem is 36% said it\u2019s \u201cnot serious\u201d and 21%, \u201cnot a problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, The Bohol Provincial Police Office (BPPO) was able to increase the number of up to 718 as drug-cleared barangays with the remaining 374 as drug affected of the total 1,109 barangays in Bohol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The success in decreasing the number of drug-affected barangays is credited to the police efforts thru 2,808 operations conducted and 3,100 individual\/suspects arrested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A total of P447,972,215.60 worth of 65,877,844 grams of illegal drugs seized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of the 47 towns and one city, there are still some towns who are on top of the list of having low number of barangays cleared of illegal drugs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the town of Inabanga, only 5 of its 50 barangays are drug-cleared, leaving 45 still drug-affected, or 90.0%; Tagbilaran City, 2 barangays cleared and 13 remains affected, or 86.70%; Ubay only 7 barangays drug-cleared, 37 barangays are not, or 84%; Talibon, 5 barangays cleared but 20 are not, or 80%; and Panglao, 2 barangays drug-cleared but 8 not, or 80%, according to the date of the BPPO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One hundred percent (100%) illegal drug-cleared barangays are in the towns of Albur, Alicia, Balilihan, Candijay, Catigbian, Garcia-Hernandez, Loboc, Lila, Maribojoc, San Isidro, Trinidad and Sikatuna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
