Aumentado is leading the race for governor in the upcoming May 9, 2022 against his opponent, current Bohol Governor Arthur C. Yap, in a survey conducted across the province from April 9-13, 2022 by an independent survey firm from Manila.&nbsp; The survey has a sample size of 2,700 or 900 per district and has a margin of error of +\/-1.9% whole Bohol and +\/-3.3% per district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Jojo Carlom, Senior Research Manager of Spheres Research Services that conducted the Pre-election survey, Aris is the frontrunner by 57% against Yap\u2019s 40%, the late Concepcion Flores\u2019 2%, and Hercules Castillo\u2019s 1%, while 1% of those surveyed were still undecided on their chosen candidate. With a margin of error of +\/- 1.9%, election observers say that the only way Yap could catch up is through his vaunted limitless financial resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aumentado dominates in the First and Second Districts, while Yap leads in the Third District. Aumentado got a result of 57% of voter\u2019s preference over the Yap\u2019s 39% in the First District, while Aris has 66% over Art\u2019s 32% in the Second District. On the other hand, Yap got a small lead of 49% in the Third District over Aumentado\u2019s 47%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the second top position in the province, Vice Governor Rene L. Relampagos has a comfortable lead over Senior Board Member Dionisio Victor Balite, with the former having a result of 56% over the latter\u2019s 43%. 1% of those surveyed said that they are undecided on the two candidates. Relampagos has a lead on all districts 59%, 54%, and 54% in the First, Second, and Third Districts respectively, over Balite\u2019s 40%, 45%, and 45%. Even so, Balite\u2019s latest result is a great improvement from his former voters\u2019 preference of 35% to Relampagos\u2019s 63%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two congressional representatives are set to remain in their current positions, while one is expected to replace her husband, who is currently gunning for a higher position. Representative Edgar Chatto of the First District received a comfortable lead of 73% over his opponents Fabio Ontong Jr. (17%) and Marybelle Dela Serna (10%), while Representative Alexie Tutor of the Third District has a lead of 65% over her fellow candidates Kat-kat Lim (34%) and Roger Cadornaga (1%). For the Second District, Maria Vanessa \u201cVan-van\u201d Aumentado, wife of gubernatorial candidate Aris, is set to succeed her husband, with a survey result of 56% over Jaja Jumamoy\u2019s 38%, Gerry Garcia\u2019s 4%, Ramil Melencion\u2019s 0%, and Marc Auza\u2019s 0%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the same survey, the leading candidates for Board Member who has a chance to take a seat in the next Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Bohol are the following: Lucille Lagunay (47%), Aldner Damalerio (44%), and Benjie Arcamo (39%) for the First District; Mimi Boniel (44%), Agapito Avenido (38%), and Tommy Abapo (36%) for the Second District; and Greg Jala (37%), Nathaniel Binlod (37%), Elpidio Bonita (36%) and Tita Baja (33%) for the Third District.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jojo Carlom used to be the Statistical Assistant at SWS and Senior Research Manager at Pulse Asia.&nbsp; It will be recalled that Carlom was among those tapped by USAID under their GOLD Project in training HNU researchers for conducting poll surveys.
