WITH just days to go before the Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association (CVIRAA) Meet 2025, the City Government of Tagbilaran, under the leadership of Mayor Jane Yap, is ensuring that the city\u2019s delegation is fully equipped and ready for the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 5, 2025, Mayor Yap led the distribution of uniforms and essential supplies to over 600 delegates, including athletes, coaches, trainers, and chaperones, during a ceremony held at the Saulog Gym.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Tagbilaran City delegation will compete in CVIRAA 2025, scheduled from March 11 to 16 in Bayawan City, Negros Oriental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the city’s unwavering support for its athletes, each participant received a complete set of uniforms, which includes a T-shirt, jogging pants, jacket, cap, and brand-new shoes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, they were provided with playing uniforms specifically designed for their respective sports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond athletic wear, the delegation also received towels, toiletries such as soap, shampoo, rubbing alcohol, toothpaste, and toothbrushes, and varsity bags to ensure their comfort and convenience throughout the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To keep them in peak condition, the athletes will be provided with training allowances, meals, snacks, vitamins, energy drinks, and bottled water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sleeping materials, including bed linens, portamats, pillows, and blankets, were also distributed to guarantee a comfortable stay for the athletes during the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mayor Jane Yap expressed her pride in the athletes, highlighting their dedication and hard work in representing Tagbilaran on the regional stage. \u201cOur athletes have trained tirelessly, and we want to make sure they have everything they need to perform at their best. The City Government will always stand behind them, providing not just equipment, but also the full support they deserve,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CVIRAA Meet is a prestigious annual sporting event that brings together the best young athletes from Region 7, competing in various disciplines for a chance to advance to the Palarong Pambansa.
