THE Kansas Medical Foundation, in partnership with the Tagbilaran City Government and Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Medical Center (GCGMMC), led a Medical and Surgical Mission from February 17 to 21, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Tagbilaran City Government, under the leadership of Mayor Jane Yap, provided vital support for the mission, which offered surgical procedures to more than 70 to 80 patients at GCGMMC and distributed free eyeglasses to residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The collaboration actively involved the Tagbilaran City Primary Care Facility, led by City Health Officer Dr. Jeia Pondoc, in ensuring the mission\u2019s success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As part of the mission\u2019s outreach, a distribution of free eyeglasses was held at the City Hall Atrium on February 20, 2025, benefiting approximately 1,000 to 1,500 recipients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This initiative aims to improve the vision and quality of life for many residents of Tagbilaran City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mayor Jane Yap expressed her deep gratitude for the partnership with the Kansas Medical Foundation, emphasizing its significant impact on public health. \u201cThis mission underscores our commitment to ensuring that quality medical services are accessible to all. The Medical and Surgical Mission also distributed clothing, toys, and essential items to children in the pediatric ward of GCGMMC, along with serving meals and providing care to orphans at Sunshine Home Orphanage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
