The streamlined online and on-site system, part of the city&#8217;s commitment to a business-friendly environment, has resulted in a significant increase in permit issuances this year.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"\">THE Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) of Tagbilaran City recorded a significant 25% increase in the number of Mayor\u2019s permits issued during this year\u2019s Business One-Stop-Shop (BOSS) compared to 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The initiative, which ran from January 2 to 20, 2025, streamlined the processing of business registrations both online and onsite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">From 4,157 permits issued in 2024, the total soared to 5,204 permits issued during the same period this 2025, underscoring the city\u2019s thriving business environment and streamlined processing initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Atty. Colleen Rose Guantero, BPLO Head, attributed the substantial increase to the city government\u2019s continuous improvements in service delivery, particularly through the enhanced BOSS platform and intensified inspection of business establishments undertaken by BPLO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Furthermore, BPLO also processed 5,633 business registrations during the BOSS period, representing a 9% increase from the 5,180 registrations completed in the same period in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Online applications also increased by 29% which shows the heightened interest of business owners to transition to digital platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Mayor Jane Yap celebrated the milestone, emphasizing the importance of the business sector in driving the city\u2019s economic growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">She said, \u201cThe remarkable 25% increase in Mayor\u2019s Permits issued this year is a strong indicator of investor confidence and the growing dynamism of our local economy.
