A TALENT competition can benefit competitors\/contestants, organizers, and audiences. The following are some advantages for the participants, increase self-esteem and confidence by demonstrating skills; exposure and recognition: get noticed, attract opportunities; networking opportunities; connect with peers and professionals in the field; personal development; and enhance stage presence and public speaking; feedback and improvement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP) Bohol Council held its annual Got Talent Activity at the Island City Mall Activity Center, Tagbilaran City, on January 18, 2025. The different contests include: Declamation (for Twinkler Girl Scouts), Declamation (for Junior Girl Scouts), Vocal Solo and Vocal Duet (for Twinkler, Star, and Junior Girl Scouts), Tula (for Star Scouts), Folk Dance (Senior Girl Scouts), Essay Writing (for Senior Girl Scouts), Spoken Poetry (for Cadet Girl Scouts), Guitar Solo (for Cadet Girl Scouts), on-the-Spot Drawing (for Star Scouts), and On-the-Spot Painting (for Junior Girl Scouts).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GSP Bohol Council President, Emma C. Castillo gave her welcome message to all contestants, trainers, coaches, troop leaders, and other volunteers. Council Executive Priscilla Moonyeen P. Montanez presented the contestants, board of judges, coordinators, and guests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

School Governance and Operations Division (SGOD) Chief Maurine C. Castano gave an inspirational message on behalf of Tagbilaran City Schools Division Superintendent (SDS) Wilfreda D. Bongalos PhD, CESO VI.  Education Program Supervisor in EsP\/Values Education Ma. Maya V. Tumalon PhD, MDM, represented the DepEd SDO Bohol Schools Division Superintendent (SDS) Faye C. Luarez, EdD, PhDTM, CESO VI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The contest proper started at exactly 10:00 in the morning and ended at 4:00 in the afternoon. Council Board Member Ethelinda S. Laguitao, announced the Provincial Girl Scouts Got Talent (PGSGT) results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The one-day PGSGT was a very successful one because of the support of the schools\u2019 external and internal stakeholders.  The Local Government Units (LGUs) of the different municipalities, the supervision and guidance of the Public Schools District Supervisors (PSDSs), the School Leaders, the Teachers\/Troop Leaders, and most importantly, the love and care of the parents, guardians, friends, and relatives of these future hope of the next generation to come.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
