The Provincial Government of Bohol, the Provincial Health Office, and the Department of Health honored the city for its exemplary performance in promoting voluntary blood donations and ensuring an adequate blood supply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The city received the highly coveted Platinum Award, making it one of only two awardees and the sole honoree under the local government unit (LGU) category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This recognition highlights the city\u2019s achievement of conducting 24 mobile blood donation drives and collecting a record-breaking 614 units of blood in 2023, the highest in the province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tagbilaran City also earned the Silver Award for achieving a remarkable blood donation rate of 0.870% for 2023, further demonstrating its significant contribution to the overall adequacy and safety of the province’s blood supply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, Barangay Poblacion 2 was recognized with the Barangay Excellence Award for meeting the national target of a 1% blood donation rate in 2023, underscoring its vital role in this life-saving initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The awards were received by Mr. Robin Culpa of the Tagbilaran City Primary Care Facility and City Blood Donation Focal Person James Bompat, along with Barangay Poblacion II Captain June Ramon Duroy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They represented the collective efforts of the city government and healthcare workers, whose dedication has made these achievements possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mayor Jane Yap expressed her pride and gratitude for the city\u2019s accomplishments in her message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
