The event featured a spectacular display of lights adorning the City Hall and the iconic musical dancing fountain.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"\">TAGBILARAN City ushered in the holiday season with the grand opening of its much-anticipated &#8220;Pasko sa Tagbilaran&#8221; Christmas lights display on December 6, 2024, at the City Hall grounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The festive tradition, led by Mayor Jane Yap, Vice Mayor Adam Jala, members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, and city department heads, continues to brighten the city\u2019s Christmas celebrations, drawing families and visitors into a shared experience of joy and togetherness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The evening\u2019s program began with the solemn blessing of the nativity scene and advent wreath, officiated by Rev. Fr. Efren Bongay, Parish Priest of the St. Joseph Cathedral Shrine Parish, symbolizing the spiritual essence of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The highlight of the event was the illumination of the City Hall building and the iconic musical dancing fountain, which mesmerized audiences with a stunning display of lights and water, perfectly synchronized to festive music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Tagbilaran\u2019s main roads were also adorned with colorful lanterns, creating a citywide spectacle that celebrated the spirit of Christmas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Adding to the festive atmosphere was the opening of the &#8220;Pasko sa Tagbilaran&#8221; Christmas Bazaar located across Island City Mall. Aside from food items and hot meals, the Christmas Bazaar features upcycled products and souvenir items from the Tagbilaran City Livelihood and Community Development Unit, providing a platform for local artisans, women\u2019s associations, Persons with Disabilities, Out-of-School Youths, and students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">In her message, Mayor Jane Yap expressed her gratitude and hope. &#8220;This season reminds us of the importance of togetherness and generosity. Through &#8216;Pasko sa Tagbilaran,&#8217; we aim to bring joy and light to our city, not just through our displays but through the unity of our community.
