In photo are (from left): Ej Anthony Lacea, Mayor Jane Yap, Marko Emmanuel Longjas, and Airah Artaba, proudly posing with the plaque symbolizing such remarkable achievement.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"\">THE City of Tagbilaran was once again recognized for its exemplary disaster preparedness and management, receiving the Gawad KALASAG Seal of Excellence &#8211; Beyond Compliant and the Special Award for Excellence in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) and Humanitarian Assistance for CY 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The prestigious accolade was given during the 24th Gawad KALASAG National and Regional Awarding Ceremony, held on December 5, 2024, at the Bohol Cultural Center, Tagbilaran City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">City Mayor Jane Yap and personnel from the City DRRM Office Marko Emmanuel Longjas and Airah Artaba proudly accepted the awards, on behalf of Tagbilaran City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The recognition was presented by the Office of the Civil Defense (OCD) Region 7 Director Joel Erestain with Bohol Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado, further highlighting the city\u2019s leadership in disaster resilience and humanitarian initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Mayor Jane Yap expressed her gratitude for the honors, stating: &#8220;This award is a reflection of our collective efforts to build a resilient community. Our City DRRM team has shown dedication and innovation in disaster preparedness and humanitarian assistance.
