TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol (PIA) \u2014 Two days before the Holy Week break, Bohol records only four confirmed active cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID) and no new cases for the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The four cases are comprised of three patients experiencing moderate COVID symptoms while another one is asymptomatic: all of them in isolation and monitored by local health authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The report, as shared by the Bohol Inter-Agency task Force on the management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (BIATF) also showed that there was only one death due to the fatal disease recorded in the last 13 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This as Bohol shows a visible waning of the cases compared to the double digits that were recorded in the beginning of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That same day, Bohol records vaccination coverage of 64.04% of the 80% eligible local population for vaccination as listed in the priority. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Authorities here have claimed that the increase in vaccination coverage, coupled with the observance of the minimum public health and safety protocols have been largely credited to the waning of the cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, as the local dioceses have lined up physical activities for the Holy Week, concerns on possibly triggering another spike in cases have been aired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reports bare that parishes have been tasked to decide whether the traditional Lenten processions, which are sure crowd drawers, would be allowed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
