Salutan received the award from President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., accompanied by former Mayor and current Chief of Staff John Geesnell “Baba” Yap II, who was also a recipient of the prestigious National Pagasa Award in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As part of the award, Salutan received a gold-gilded medallion, a sash, a cash reward of PHP 200,000, a plaque, a scholarship grant for herself or a designated beneficiary to pursue a baccalaureate, master’s, or doctorate degree, and a free executive check-up within one year of the award’s conferment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This national recognition highlights Salutan\u2019s impactful leadership and her transformative efforts in establishing the Tagbilaran City Garments Manufacturing Center, a vital hub for economic empowerment and skills development. The center has been instrumental in providing sustainable livelihood programs and empowering women and marginalized groups in the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mayor Jane Yap expressed her immense pride and admiration for Salutan, stating, “Ms. Salutan\u2019s dedication to empowering our marginalized communities has truly made a lasting difference in the lives of many Tagbilaranons. Her national recognition as a Pagasa Awardee is not only a reflection of her personal achievements but a testament to the collective progress we are making as a city.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mayor Yap also extended her congratulations to the Tagbilaran City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), which was named a regional winner in the Group Category of the CSC Pagasa Award for their outstanding contributions to disaster preparedness, risk reduction, and community resilience. The CDRRMO Team is composed of Marko Emmanuel Longjas, Fritz Dennis Ruyeras, Von Angalot, Airah Junerey Balatayo and April Joy Yarte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The CSC Pagasa Award is one of the most prestigious honors in the Philippine civil service, recognizing individuals and groups whose exemplary contributions benefit multiple government departments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Previous CSC Pagasa Awardees from Tagbilaran included City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Gerard Lavadia, City General Services Officer Dr. Chris John Rener Torralba, and a team from the City Health Office composed of Dr. Jeia Pondoc, nurse Reina Torralba-Balay, medical technologist Emma Sagaral, and midwife Hannafil Pacomios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
