But for Tagbilaran City, a celebration will unfold in this year\u2019s Saulog Festival King and Queen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tagbilaran City which is now under Alert Level 1 aims to celebrate the talent, creativity, faith, and resiliency of the Tagbilaranons. City Mayor John Geesnell \u201cBABA\u201d Yap emphasized that the health protocols will be enforced in the conduct of the entire activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cParticipants in this month-long celebration are only those who are fully-vaccinated. The organizers were also given clear instructions to implement the standard health protocols such as the wearing of face masks, washing of hands, and physical distancing. We believe that it is just fitting to embrace the new normal by doing our usual activities with caution,\u201d Mayor Yap said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Saulog King and Queen Festival will showcase the talents of local artisans and designers. Tagbilaran City First Lady Jane Yap conceptualized the idea of making the Saulog King and Queen Festival into a platform where Tagbilaranon artists will be given the chance to showcase their creativity, especially that theirs was halted due to the threat of the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Led by local fashion designer Charlow Arbasto who is the image stylist for Saulog Festival King and Noel Bompat Estopito who is the image stylist for Saulog Festival Queen, the Saulog Tagbilaran 2022 Executive Committee has provided an opportunity to showcase the local designers\u2019 masterpieces that will feature an impressive fusion of cultural and contemporary concepts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The presentation will be on April 30, 2022, 7:00 pm at the Cogon Gymnasium. Representatives from each barangay are now geared up to shine and conquer led by Brgy. Cogon\u2019s Justine James Bierneza and Kathleen Ausejo; Cabawan\u2019s John Jensen Semblante and Bernadette Tabaniag; Taloto\u2019s Gerald Anaviso and Marvelou Kate Remolador; Mansasa\u2019s Jasru Izaac Ramirez and Alyssa Marian Pumatong; Ubujan\u2019s Eduardo Gallenero Jr. and Mefairlove Anino; Dampas\u2019s Jerome Dacullo and Anikka Jade Agazon; Booy\u2019s Jack Green and Denise Cadenas; Tiptip\u2019s Christian Celada and Hary Mae Vera Membrillos; Bool\u2019s Michael Paul Bagares and Vegee Doria; Poblacion 1\u2019s Alvin Villaber and Sophia Socias; Poblacion 3\u2019s Llyod Virgel Aplacador and Hazel Mae Mejares; Manga\u2019s Jan Nino Baguinang and Cathrine Zeta Batiancila; Dao\u2019s Jonathan Tambis and Kate Janyne Lanit; San Isidro\u2019s Ianne Alqueza and Liezel Budlong, and Poblacion 2\u2019s RJ Clent Dosdos and Jamby Lluvido.
