SENATOR Panfilo \u201cPing\u201d Lacson and Senate President Tito Sotto, who are vying for president and vice-president, respectively, in May 9, 2022 elections, found a way of campaigning to pursue their advocacy and platforms of government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Lacson-Sotto tandem have listened to representatives of the marginalized sectors, such as farmers, fisherfolk, laborers, trike drivers, during the dialogue held at JJs Seafood Village as part of their campaign sorties in Tagbilaran City last week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lacson, who resigned as Reporma official candidate and now an independent, said that it is important to listen to the lowly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Farmers have also expressed their sad plight of very low price of their rice produce. In Jagna, Mayor Joseph Ranola\u2019s administration have launched a buy-back scheme that purchased rice produce at a reasonable price, incumbent Kagawad Anthony Aniscal said earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the fishermen also echoed their predicament in fishing implements, including the non-stop increase of gasoline prices recently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Senatorial bet former Agriculture secretary Manny Pinol lamented that fish products in Bohol is very high despite the fact that Bohol is surrounded by seawater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Lacson-Sotto tandem stressed that they campaign without any fanfare even if they have few attendees and they do not bring movie stars and celebrities to attract voters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Aside from Sotto and Pinol, Dr. Minguita Padilla, a senatorial aspirant, accompanied the campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Retired police general Eleazer, who is also running for senator under the Lacson-Sotto tandem, was not with them during the Bohol campaign sortie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To show their solid support, retired police general Inking and army general Joseph Sevilla accompanied the Lacson-Sotto in the campagn trail. Sevilla is running for provincial board member in the first district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lacson, who was warmly welcomed by a throng of over two thousand supporters at Jagna gym, proclaimed incumbent Mayor Joseph Ranola for reelection and the rest of his slate including Vice-Mayor Pagar and councilors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
