City Fire Marshal CINSP. Marlito Boyoro recognized the efforts of Mayor Yap in making the acquisition possible. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>City Fire Marshal C\/INSP Boyoro said the new firetruck will be a major reinforcement in the unit, strengthening the 7 existing fire-engines used to ensure fire-safety in Tagbilaran City. &nbsp;Mayor Yap is grateful to the workers in the frontlines, one of which are the City Fire personnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe want to ease the work of our frontliners as much as we can. This new firetruck will definitely help the unit in its major tasks,\u201d Yap said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2021, the City Fire made major breakthroughs when they attended the SP Session to discuss the new amendments to City Ordinance 293. The ordinance mandates big business establishments to undergo a Fire Safety seminar to ensure fire-safety literacy among its staff. With the new amendments, small and medium enterprises are now required to undergo fire safety training and conduct fire and exit drills to be facilitated by the City Fire Personnel. &nbsp;Boyoro said that fire accidents can happen anywhere and anytime, whether your business is big or small. The City Fire Chief said this move will help decrease the incidence of fire accidents in the city and will significantly contribute to having safer commercial buildings and workplaces in Tagbilaran. Moreover, the City Fire entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) authorizing Tagbilaran City Government to assess and collect Fire Code Fees in behalf of the BFP.
