As a result of this public-private collaboration on education and voluntarism, Republic Act 8525, often known as the “Adopt-A-School Act,” was passed in 1998.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DepEd Order No 009, s. 2024, dated July 15, 2024 entitled, \u201cImplementing Guidelines on the School Calendar and Activities for the School Year 2024-2025\u201d, provided that DepEd shall conduct the Brigada Eskwela\u00a0from. July 22 to 27, 2024<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0with the theme, \u201cBayanihan Para sa Matatag na. Paaralan\u201d<\/strong>.\u00a0The Brigada Eskwela’s policy states that all work and responsibilities are voluntary.<\/p>\n\n\n

Through the leadership of SEPS Evelyn C, Marapao, DepEd SDO Bohol, conducted an orientation for all District Brigada Eskwela Coordinators. The District BE Coordinators shall conduct an orientation with all the elementary and secondary school leaders concerning the 2024 Brigada Eskwela activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ubay 2 District BE Coordinator, SSP Diomedes P. Montero scheduled the district BE orientation last July 18, 2024 held at Ubay 2 East District Office, Biabas, Ubay, Bohol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The one-day BE orientation was hosted by Tipolo NHS SIC, Joey P. Bitua PhD, and a welcome message was given by CESP Josephine S. Boyboy. Union NHS SIC Rochelle B, Impang, gave the statement of purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Issues, concerns, and problems were provided with responses during the orientation. School leaders are so thankful to SDS Casiana P. Caberte, ASDS Eduardo Ompad, and SGOD Chief Wilfreda O. Flor for this DepEd SDO Bohol- initiated activity.<\/p>\n\n\n

Brigada Eskwela is a program run by the Department of Education that brings together educators, parents, and community members to prepare public schools for the upcoming school year every third week of May. Volunteers paint, clean, and perform minor repairs during the course of the week-long event. Brigada Eskwela promotes effective school and community partnerships by involving stakeholders such as parents, private institutions, community organizations, and non-governmental organizations in the maintenance and preparation of public schools before classes begin<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
