TALIBON Mayor Janet Garcia and company have switched partisan following to Gov. Aris Aumentado\u2019s Abante, consequently, abandoning ex-governor Arthur C. Yap\u2019s camp in the name of development of this busting port town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second district Congw. Vanvan C. Aumentado bared this in her message to this writer. She captioned it as \u201cunification is it,\u201d with three thumbs up emojis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMayor Janet Garcia, VM Dave Evangelista & all Partymates are now OFFICIAL ABANTE BOHOL MEMBERS. DAGHAN DAGHAN KAAYONG SALAMAT sa INYONG PAGSALIG. For the LOVE of TALIBON nagkahiusa mi alang sa dugang pa natong mga damgo nga proyekto,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Congw. Aumentado said she\u2019s also grateful to former mayor and provincial Board member Toting Auxtero and former Mayor Juaning Item for the trust and support to Abante group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was not known what made Mayor Garcia to change heart, however.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mayor Garcia ran for mayor in the last elections under the umbrella of then governor Yap and won.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of the 14 towns, only the municipal mayors of Dagohoy and Inabanga are not allied with the present administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As to Trinidad town, the administration of Mayor Atty. Roberto Cajes have expressed intent to shift to Abante in the coming electoral exercise, according to a reliable source.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, provincial board members of the administration in the second district are already formed, the source said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Incumbent Provincial Board Members Atty. Tommy Abapo, Jr. and Atty. Jamie Villamor are set for reelection under the Aumentado\u2019s Abante.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their third comrade for the second district would be last-termer Pres. Carlos P. Garcia Mayor Fernando \u201cEping\u201d Estavilla, the present president of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines-Bohol chapter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
